Letting go is part of growing up. It takes both sides of a relationship to realise that, and let go gracefully. A heart-breaking thing it is, to see my boys grow up from boys into men, but the pain would be worse if I were not prepared to let go of my children.
ReplyDeleteAnd so it is for you, perhaps, that people in your life are not ready to let go. It takes trust and confidence: perhaps there is something that you can do, to make them feel that way about you. Then they will be prepared to let you go.
Loving, is another matter - sometimes people just can not stop.
