So im looking for some good ideas for a scary story.
From what ive heard im a good story teller. My last story was about a family that moved to a town and every one inside the town had disappeared. So the family had gone to look for any answers and got stuck inside a library. Im just ashamed of it because I stole some ideas from a goosebumps movie that I use to watch when I was younger.
I didnt think I would even say that on here. Im so private both in real life, and here. Even though I do share a lot of personal stuff on here im just embarrassed about anything artistic that is made by my mind and hands.
Although I dont have a bunch of people reading my blog, (8 readers or whatever you want to call your selfs) its not like im counting it every day. I actually opened this blog thinking that people would read what I have to say, but I think I like it better with less people reading.

Sometimes a little story in the news catches my eye.

No more details, you never hear the whole story, so I just let my imagination wander...was it the father? a lover? her kids? a conspiracy? It's kind of fun imagining the backstory. Or taking incidents from my past and imagining how things could have been, or could have gone horribly wrong.
Imitation is one of the best ways for writers to learn their craft. Writing in the style of someone else, taking someone else's ideas in a different direction. So long as you acknowledge what isn't yours.
Post some of your writing, here or other places - deviantart perhaps? I really like your writing when it tells of something in your own life. When you take something that happens and allow it to give a glimpse of what you are feeling and how you are facing the world. That's what makes the im no poet posts special.
